Mr. Zhang specializes in contractual dispute resolution, especially disputes pertaining
to domestic and international trade, investment and financing, loans and guarantees.
Also, his expertise covers a wide range of corporate transactions including share
transfers, resolution invalidations, dissolution and bankruptcy liquidation.
Mr. Zhang previously worked in a Beijing court for seven years where he accumulated
extensive experience from handling numerous cases. With his abundant experience in
Chinese judicial practice gained from the bench, Mr. Zhang is skilled in analyzing the
big picture of complex cases from an adjudicator’s perspective. Thanks to his judicial
experience, Mr. Zhang’s astute insights consistently assist in formulating effective legal
solutions. His meticulous, diligent mindset enables him to see the flaws in the other
party’s evidence and to prevail in complex and difficult cases. In addition, Mr.
Zhang’s areas of specialty also include enforcement proceedings, especially property
seizures, appraisals, auctions, liquidations and distributions, as well as enforcement-tobankruptcy proceedings.
Mr. Zhang also has significant experience in bidding disputes and administrative
litigation. He has successfully overturned the illegal bidding results of some major
bidding projects for his clients. His excellent performance in this area has paved the
way for his clients’ sustainable development by avoiding illegal administrative penalties
or improper interference from illegal administrative actions.
Prior to joining Han Kun, Mr. Zhang had worked in a court in Beijing from 2001 to
2008. He later worked in a reputable local law firm from 2011 to 2013 before joining
Han Kun in May 2013.
