Peng Lei’s practice focuses on patent, trademark and antitrust litigation, as well as patent prosecution and invalidation. He has extensive experience in serving both domestic and multi-national clients.

Mr. Lei started his career in the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) as a patent examiner and worked there for more than 4 years. During his tenure at SIPO, Mr. Lei has examined hundreds of invention patent applications, and accumulated valuable experience in patent prosecution practice.

Before joining Han Kun Law Offices, Mr. Lei also worked in King & Wood Mallesons as a senior associate for more than 5 years. He mainly focused on patent and trademark infringement lawsuits, but also engaged in trade secret, unfair competition and Anti-trust matters. Mr. Lei also has a core expertise in patent invalidation issues. Mr. Lei has provided legal services regarding patent litigation to several multi-national companies including Qualcomm, Siemens, Philips, OSRAM, ABB, Applied Materials, Emerson, Panasonic, Honda Motor, FOXCONN and Lenovo. Mr. Lei also participated in several antitrust lawsuits regarding Standard Essential Patents (“SEPs”) in 3G communication industry.

Education
Mr. Lei graduated from Tsinghua University with master’s degree in mechanical
engineering in 2006 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering from
Tsinghua University in 2003.
