Katja Schott, born in 1977, studied at the University of St. Gallen, graduating with a law degree in 2001, and was admitted to the bar of the Canton of Zurich in 2004. She also became a licensed notary of the Canton of Basel-Stadt in 2013. Before joining Walder Wyss, Katja Schott worked first at a medium-sized law firm in Basel (since 2011 as partner) and then as a partner in a leading Swiss corporate law firm (2016).
