Guillermo Puelles specializes in mergers & acquisitions, insolvency procedures, financial restructuring, antitrust and business finance.

He assists clients in negotiating and executing corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and in restructuring and insolvency procedures, both public and private. He counsels both debtors and creditors and has participated in the most significant bankruptcy processes in the country. He is a specialist in company-in-crisis merger & acquisition, in restructuring and liquidating bankrupt companies, and in antitrust law.

He was called by the World Bank to prepare the Peruvian chapter of a report on insolvency and creditors rights for a global survey done in 2010. He is the only Peruvian member of the prestigious International Insolvency Institute.

Guillermo has worked in the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI) as well as teaches Civil Law at Universidad del Pacifico, and has been a teacher of Bankruptcy Law in post-graduate programs of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (2008) and Universidad de Piura (2014).
