Together with the specialized team that she coordinates, Georgeta assists clients in Romanian and EU competition law projects.
In Competition Council's investigations regarding potential breaches of the Competition Law and of the Treaty for the Functioning of the European Union, she advises on commitments and leniency procedures, provides dawn raid assistance, makes risk assessments and corresponding recommendations, prepares the answers to the competition authority's questions, protecting the companies' rights throughout the investigation, prepares defenses to the investigation teams' statements of objections, and represents the companies, pleading in the hearings before the competition authority. She further assists with the challenge of the Competition Council's decisions before Romanian courts, together with the litigation team, and she represents clients before the EU courts.
She also advises on the competition aspects of the companies' day-to-day business conduct, competition compliance, merger clearance and state aid projects. She also has experience in M&A field, having advised clients in connection with structuring transactions, preparing and negotiating transaction documents.
