Career highlights

• Victorian Bus Service Contracting – Since joining MinterEllison I have advised the Victorian State Government on the procurement of the Melbourne Metropolitan Bus Franchise (30% of bus services in Melbourne), the Metropolitan Bus Procurement Project (70% of bus services in Melbourne) and the procurement of regional school bus contracts and country and regional bus contracts
• NSW Public Transport Service Contracting – I advised TfNSW in relation to the New Intercity Fleet project, the Newcastle Integrated Services project, the Region 6 Bus Services project and the re-contracting of the Sydney Ferries Service Contract
• Rail Franchising – I advised Yarra Trams during the renegotiation of its franchise to provide tram services in Melbourne and provide general commercial advice regarding operational and commercial matters. I was also an in-house lawyer for the Victorian train franchisee for eight years
• Northern Territory Public Transport Service Contracting - I have advised the Northern Territory Government on the privatisation of bus operations in Darwin, Alice Springs and other regional areas and the provision of air services between Darwin and Katherine
• Rail side development – I have advised in relation to over rail developments including the upgrade of Flinders Street Station and the sale and development of railway land on Spring Street in the Melbourne CBD
• Fleet Procurement – I advised Public Transport Victoria and the Department of Transport in relation to the procurement of rolling-stock for operation on Victoria's regional rail network and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning on the procurement of water tanker and other fire-fighting equipment
• Public Private Partnerships – I have provided regulatory and rail interface advice in relation to a number of public private partnerships including the Melbourne Metro Tunnel PPP and the Southern and Western Road Upgrade PPPs
• Tertiary Sector Development -  I have advised the University of Melbourne in relation to the construction and operation of student housing projects and other innovate precinct developments
