Profile
Alex Cordova leads our Tax practice area. He specializes in fiscal consulting and planning, mergers & acquisitions, extractive industries taxation, consumption taxation and tax processes.
He counsels on the analysis of tax-related aspects of financial operations such as derivative contracts, trusts, taxation of extractive industries, mutual and investment funds, consumption taxation and securitizations.
He represents clients in tax processes both in administrative instances and the Judiciary. He has successfully intervened in the most important cases on this matter in the country.
He participates as tax consultant in various investment and infrastructure projects in the country and in company merger & acquisition operations, capital markets transactions, design of structures and financial products. He also assists clients in implementing the tax solutions for different types of industrial companies in the country, particularly in the mining field. He also provides orientation services in audit processes performed by the relevant authorities.
Alex is the former president of the Peruvian Chapter of the International Fiscal Association. He is a frequent speaker at local and international forums, and authored various tax-related articles. He taught Consumption Tax at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru.
