Prior to joining Han Kun, Ellen was the Chief Compliance Officer of MaxwealthFundManagement Co., Ltd., where she was fully responsible for building the company’s legal andcompliance structure, as well as the internal control system for all stages of mutual fundbusiness,including the set-up stage, high-speed growth stage and mature stage. She specializes inlegal andcompliance, risk management, and internal audit practices in the mutual fund industry. Ellenpreviously practiced with two reputable PRC law firms, where she provided legal and complianceservices to asset management institutions such as mutual funds, private equity funds, banks, andtrust institutions.
Ellen has 16 years of experience working in the asset management industry. She has extensiveexperience, especially in the mutual fund industry, with respect to regulatory andpolicyapplications and practice, legal and compliance solutions design, financial product designandlifecycle management, compliance assessments and training, risk management and solutions, andinternal audits and operations. Ellen’s many perspectives allow her to deliver business- andrisk-focused legal services, providing practical advice to her clients.
